It's a web service planned from scratch. Currently, it's used by over 1,200 users. We carried out new business development from scratch, including UI/UX design, development, marketing, and business model construction.
Currently, it has spun out from Quadra and incorporated as Startout Co., Ltd. We also conduct OEM sales as an e-learning system for corporations. As a web service business created entirely from new business design, we were able to gain a wealth of experience and knowledge.
We handled everything from marketing strategy to web production and system development in a comprehensive manner. We built and provided a solid strategy, acquiring 300 paying users in the first 3 days. Since then, it has continued to grow steadily, with 1,200 users now engaging in learning.
Furthermore, OEM sales have started, providing it as an e-learning system for corporations. This also has an excellent reputation, and despite a minimum price of 1.5 million yen, implementation was confirmed for about 5 companies within the first month. Operations have since been handed over, but currently, the entire platform is undergoing redesign and redevelopment, with a planned release as the new STARTOUT in spring 2024.
At that time, people who wanted to learn web production had a passion for having their own services while improving their web production skills. That hasn't changed, and in fact, I think the number of web creators who think about things from a business perspective has increased compared to a few years ago.
As a pioneer in this area, we developed a learning platform because there were no teaching materials that allowed creators to learn business and service creation alongside web production. We handled everything from material creation, design, coding, development, to marketing.
Initially released as a beta version, the UI/UX was still rough, but we improved it based on feedback. And now, there are almost no complaints regarding the learning experience.
Furthermore, STARTOUT, which has been operating as a beta version, will finally be re-released as a full product in 2024. When the previously rough and patchwork UI/UX is tidied up, redesigned, and relaunched, it will reappear as the ultimate learning platform. Look forward to it.
The platform development period is approximately 6 months. The initial teaching materials themselves also took half a year to produce, making it effectively a year-long project. Nevertheless, we also conducted SNS-focused marketing simultaneously, and were able to generate sales immediately after the beta version was completed.
Regarding the approximate budget, to create a site of this scale with a simple, non-subscription-based estimate next time, it would be approximately 10 million to 15 million yen.
Service development involving systems, frankly, is not as simple as creating a website. In all flows—planning, design, and development—it's necessary to thoroughly consider not only technical aspects but also business and user perspectives, so users, the development team, and clients all need to work together as one. It also requires an enormous amount of effort.
However, our company doesn't just create new businesses and services by request; we also possess the know-how and experience to thoroughly execute, from building our own services like this, to selling them and achieving results.
